email to text not working

We have systems that send and email translated into SMS text to several of our phones.

It has stopped working.

We are wondering how to check if AT&T is blocking it.

We know how to check our individual blocked numbers.

Hello LPensa , we're here to help with your email to text inquiry.

 

You can compose a new email message and send a text, picture, or video message to a wireless number.

  • Text message - Compose a new email and enter the recipient's 10-digit wireless number, followed by @txt.att.net. For example,5551234567@txt.att.net.
  • Picture or video message - Compose a new email and enter the recipient's 10-digit wireless number, followed by @mms.att.net. For example,5551234567@mms.att.net.

Heads up: Don't include dashes or spaces in between the numbers.

 

It could have been blocked. You can reach out to our block list group by abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net to help investigate and help take action accordingly. You can read more on the AT&T Mail postmaster website.

Hello, @LPensa. Thank you for letting us know this hasn't worked so far. We were hoping for this to be resolved, but we are more than happy to continue to help.

 

We have a few questions:

  1. When you emailed to report abuse, did you ever receive any response back? Did you check junk and spam folders as well?
  2. Have you tried to created a whole new email to text message to try to see if it is working properly now? Creating a whole new email thread may help clear ourt any glitches that could be standing in the way of the messages going through.

 

We look forward to hearing your answers to these questions. No worrries, if it still isnt working we can bring you into a private message and have this escalated for you.

I got a standard reply that the AT&T postmaster was looking into it. Thanking me for my patience. 

We cleared out any clogged messages. Sent a new one, remember it is sending from a system not an individual.

Nothing changed. I guess we wait for the postmaster.

I did contact the tool company. They said that it is a known issue that AT&T is blocking the messages for many customers.

From their email it sounded like it will not be changed on your end. I am not sure where that leaves us.

Many of our systems send text through AT&T to our associates.

I am only one of the associates.

I assume the other companies have the same concerns.
