Hello @Spastee,

We'd like address your concern with the issue your experiencing with your delivered/read receipts.

If you could, please provide us with more details so we can assist you to the best of our ability:

  • Are you experiencing this issue with all contact numbers?
  • Have you tried toggling off the enabled button and powering off/on your device and toggling the enable button on again?
  • Also, have you tried removing your SIM card and reinserting it?

please reach back out to us we can work towards a possible resolution.

Hi Jonye,

Thanks for assisting... Yes this is with all numbers i send messages to and i have tried to toggle the delivery report button on and off...i have tried changing the sim too and got a new one yday .. the same setting for delivery report works on other sims, one which is an indian SIM on roaming on att itself. So its not the settings nor the handset. Since i got the SIM replaced, its not that either. It is an issue on the network end and i i know there used to be an option a few years ago to switch delivery reports for SMS on and off at the network end.  So kindly do check on that. Pls do let me know if anything can be done. If not i will be switching back to T-Mobile as this feature is important to me.

Hey there @Spastee!

In order for delivery confirmation to work on your device you must have AT&T Advanced Messaging as specified here. Please be advised that sender and recipients must have AT&T postpaid wireless service with Advanced Messaging-capable devices and up-to-date software.

Devices must be turned on and must be within the AT&T owned & operated domestic coverage area. Device selection is limited at this time.

We hope this info helps.

No i am not talking about advanced messaging ...i am talking about regular SMS service which one can send from any carrier to any carrier. Once its received, i should get the delivery report. This is what's not working.. it works on other att sim cards i try in my phone.
