Cannot access internet using cellular data with Secure Family app

I have installed the companion app on my kid’s iPhone and set bedtime limits from my iPhone. However, during the day, when he should have access to the internet using cellular data when away from any WiFi, his phone is not able to get access, even though he had four bars of cellular signal. However, when we got home, near our WiFi, he was able to access the Internet. Does the VPN block cellular data all the time?  I would like him to have full function of his phone outside of bedtime hours.

Hello, @csheridan22. Thank you for reaching out to us about the AT&T Secure Family app! We know how important it is to be able to keep up with our family's locations and monitor their activity, especially in these times. We can help you get this worked out, so your son can use his cellular data.

 

Here is a link to the guide support page for internet access for the AT&T Family Secure app. It seems as tho you will need to enable the internet ability on his device from your device. However, since you stated you set a time limit for internet access, you may want to reinstall the app on your son's phone and set the time limit again for internet usage to see if that resolves the issue. This is important we know, so please let us know if this works.
