Block the 1-410-100 messages

I am getting text messages from 1-410-100 and I can't block them because the last digit of the number is different. They are from an att phone to an att phone  from att. From you. How can I stop this. I forwarded them to your spam number 7726. If I have to change phone numbers I will but it won't be thru att.

I use WideProtect (love it), but it doesn't stop the messages from showing up on my Macbook. They get blocked on the phone, however. If Bouncer can stop them on my phone AND laptop then we have a winner.

AT&T, it's shameful that this has been going on for years and that 3rd-party developers have to build SIMPLE apps to block spam - something you could easily afford to do.

I’m having this problem and have over 200 short code, emails, and  numbers (see screenshots of SOME) blocked and counting as the days go on. I got 10 today well at a doctors appointment so that’s nice. There’s no way I’ll be an AT&T customer by next month.

I’ve read through every response on here and see that the clearest solution for customers like myself would be to have AT&T block the ability of our phone #s to receive email text (paraphrasing), however nobody at AT&T will do that for me and I’ve spent what feels like days wasting my life trying…so I give up because all of your employees are either incompetent or don’t care). I would switch now but I use (and have for some ill informed reason since 2018) AT&T prepaid, and just bought my months worth and can’t afford to due to being sick off work…so I will really enjoy these phishing attempts for the next month while ill. I’ll just relish in the anxiety of it all. So that’s great.

This is completely insane and unacceptable that there’s still no solution and you’re just giving us these robotic like responses from some help article subtexts that you were referred to and were told to respond with. I don’t believe anyone is actually reading the suggestions about what could be done because they (AT&T) doesn’t care, nor do they want to do the work to help their customers.

Also, as everyone on here has told you before blocking doesn’t help because they just change one digit each time for the short code and nothing on your website helps either but  I’m really looking forward to your robotic reply here telling me to reference your cyber security portion of your site etc.!
Do you really think that any of us would have reached out on a forum…on various forums online if anything that we were told by the employees or the site worked?

Same here. Been getting spam texts from the 1410100 and 1410200 numbers and recently, I've been getting these in ridiculous amounts everyday. Never had any luck trying to report the texts, manually block each number and contact AT&T support when I tried to find a solution.

However, I've actually hit the jackpot with the WideProtect app. It costed $3 on the app store on my iPhone but the catch here is, now, all of the spam text messages I was receiving no longer show up on my front screen or in notification center, making them no longer any annoyance to me and I really urge people to use that app even if it means sacrificing a little bit of money for it but I can confirm that it's totally worth the $3 in my honest opinion and is the best solution until AT&T can figure something better out for the spam texts.

Having used these instructions successfully for some time now, disabling only Email to to SMS with the help of AT&T Advanced Support, I recently started getting daily Email to MMS Text messages. I'm going to keep an eye on it, and if it gets annoying I'll contact AT&T and have them disable BOTH Email to SMS and MMS Text messages.

It was easy to determine the type of texts from email I was receiving were E-mail to MMS by testing from my email app. I mailed to at(mycellnumber)@txt.att.net and it failed, confirming that SMS was still disabled. Then I emailed (mycellnumber)@mms.att.net and it still worked, appearing on my device exactly as the new offending messages do.

Hopefully disabling Email to MMS Text Messages won't break any 2FA, other challenge response logins, or other legit notifications from other providers, but so far I've not had any issues with just Email to SMS Text disabled.

Hope this helps.

It looks like this has been a problem for years.   Any updates on fixing this problem?  I’m getting hit 4 and 5 times a day with these rolling phone number/codes.

I don't think providers have enough motivation to resolve these problems. Spams, Scams, and spoofed numbers are all out of control. The solution they propose seems to be report, block, ignore... Not working !

The only solution I found viable was app called Wide Protect... Was pretty inexpensive and stopped this problem for me 100%. Others above mention that you can call and work with the provider to block certain functionality... This is a fine option too, just comes down to if your time is worth more than $5- or so for the app.

I thought stir/shaken was going to put a dent in the spoofed numbers, seems like empty promises as fake calls continue to arrive unimpeded...
