AT&T Wireless Has Gotten So Bad In My Area

AT&T used to be the best carrier in my area (Louisville KY) but it has since become terrible and almost unusable. I've tried refreshing the connection on AT&Ts support website and restarting my phone and nothing seems to work. I have a iPhone 14 Pro Max and even on full bars of "5G" im getting a ping of 882 which competes with satellite internet, a measly 5mbps down and tons of jitter. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? We are also on the highest plan AT&T sells so our data should not getting deprioritized. I don't know what else to do besides switch carriers at this point since it has gotten so bad.

Thank you for letting us know of the troubleshooting tips you have tried. We took a look at the coverage in your area using the information you provided. We do see that there are 2 towers that are currently down. This can have an effect on your connection. Both towers estimated restoral date is 12/1/22.

 

In the meantime, you may visit our Wireless Support tool for step-by-step troubleshooting helps. You can also use Wi-Fi calling if you are experiencing any dropped calls until this gets resolved. 

 

Once the towers are restored, you will want to power cycle your device and let us know if you notice a difference with your connection.
