AT&T text messaging app for an iPad 4th generation?

My husband has an AT&T messaging app from the Play Store for his Samsung Android tablet. It works....he sends and receives messages plus his contact's pics are shown. 

I can't locate an AT&T text messaging app for my iPad 4th generation. The best that I can do is using the Online AT&T messaging app where I check that I have an "iPhone" and to turn off iMessages. I don't use iMessages and it is always off. When I'm in my AT&T messages, my contact's pics are not there, only phone numbers. 

Anyone have these problems with an iPad and any solutions? Never had this issue with Verizon, they had a good working text message app for an iPad.

Allow us to lend a helping hand. Unfortunately, the AT&T messaging app is not available for download on iPads.

 

We recommend using the default iMessage application to text from your device. You need a valid phone number or Apple ID to use iMessage on iPad. Visit our support article on iMessage for instructions on how to get it set up. 

 

If you would like to receive your messages on the computer and from your tablet, then you have the option of using the AT&T messages website. Check out this forums post on AT&T messages for iOS for more information. Thanks for reaching out to us.
