ATT Prepaid - cannot send/receive MMS messages

Hello,

My husband recently switched to ATT Prepaid. Since he got the sim card, he cannot send/receive MMS messages. When he receives an MMS, it is received as a separate text from each sender within the group, and there is a DOWNLOAD message. He gets an error and cannot download the message.
