AT&T NumberSync stopped working on my Galaxy Watch 4

I've been using my Galaxy Watch 4 with NumberSync enabled from my primary phone.  It was working well until 2 days back, now I'm trying to make it work, but it keeps throwing an error.  Logged into my AT&T account and confirmed my watch is not listed under Synced wearables.  When I tried to reconfigure the NumberSync, it prompts for the code from my watch, and my watch AT&T NumberSync app throws an error with code PD-SD-N/A.  No luck with support chats/calls.  Anyone have similar issues recently?  I did get a text confirmation saying that my NumberSync stopped working 2 days back, and that's when I realized it doesn't work.  So, when AT&T have these services traced in the backend, it'd be good at least if they also stop charging us for the watch line for the time when NumberSync doesn't work.

I have the same problem. I got the same text and when I tried to turn it back on I could not get a NumberSync code. I got a message that NumberSync encountered a problem. The problem code is PD-SDK-N/A. I have retried many times over the last couple of days with the same result. I have a Galaxy Watch 4 and a Galaxy Z Flip 3 phone.

I am having the same issues. Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G with Galaxy Watch 3. I've tried every troubleshooting step with no luck. Keep getting "NumberSync is currently unavailable". Went into the AT&T store and they couldn't fix it either. While I was there another guy walked in with the same issue.

I've spent almost an hour with online chat support last night, and they eventually decided to send me a new QR code to my address.  Awaiting the new QR code, and planning to reset all mobile plan on Galaxy Wearable app, then try the new QR code.  To me, it looks like the registration part of the new plan works, when I tried downloading the new eSIM, but the syncing part with the primary line breaks.  Hope AT&T fixes this soon.  I'm already on the verge of moving to Verizon.

Hi cmcclellan1, we're here to help with Numbersync!

Let's try this to see if we can get this pairing issue sorted for you.

1) Reset your network settings: Swipe up or down to view Apps. Touch Settings. Scroll to and touch General management. Touch Reset. Touch Reset Network Settings. Touch RESET SETTINGS. Touch RESET SETTINGS. The network settings have been reset.

2) You can use our Troubleshooting and Resolve tool. Simply select your device, and it will walk you through the rest.

If none of these are effective at resolving the issue, please let us know and we'll proceed from there. Thank you.

This did not help. I doubt if the issue is with my watch or phone since the same thing is all of a sudden happening to others. The Troubleshooting and Resolve Tool does neither. It can't even tell me what error code SD-SDK-N/A is. Usually, if the source of the error code is known, the problem can be solved.

Yes customers service had no idea what this code is. If others are have the issue maybe it will be resolved. Im gonna attempt to go into the store tomorrow to see if they can figure something out

Hi there, ! Allow us to help get your Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G and your Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 back connected via NumberSync.

First, make sure you have the most recent software for your wearable and the Samsung Galaxy Wear app on your smartphone. Then access our Device Support tool by navigating to our AT&T Wireless support page. Once you've reached this webpage, select Get suggestions. Next, choose your device type which is located under change device. Lastly, go to Services>Device pairing (NumberSync). You'll be provided with personalized solutions based off the requested details specific to your experience.

Still unable to pair with NumberSync? Remove NumberSync if you haven't done so already. You can do this by logging into your wireless account and going to your myAT&T account overview>Scroll to My devices>Select Manage my device for the wearable you want to update>Choose Manage NumberSync. Then try setting up NumberSync again. Also, if able, uninstall the Galaxy Wearable app and download it again.

Before you begin, make sure:

  • Bluetooth is turned on for both your wearable and your smartphone.
  • You have paired your smartphone and wearable using the Samsung pairing process.
  • You have an active wireless plan for your wearable
  • You have a NumberSync user ID for your wearable

Set up NumberSync from the Galaxy Wear app:

  1. Open the Galaxy Wear app on your smartphone.
  2. Tap Settings and then Mobile Plans.
  3. Choose AT&T NumberSync, then Get Started.
  4. Tap Sync Watch.
  5. Check your watch for a Sync Code.
  6. Enter the Sync Code in the app (if it doesn’t automatically enter it for you).

You’ll get a message on both the Galaxy Wear app and your wearable that your smartphone number and watch have synced. If you still run into a error code, please share the exact error code with us. There are specific troubleshooting methods for every code. We'd like to provide appropriate guidance. Also, let us know what specific troubleshooting steps you've already tried. We want to utilize all resources available and assist you to the best of our ability.

Thank you for connecting with the AT&T Community!

@Lukeaj I was told the same in couple of stores when I bought this watch, then I went to the company store (not franchised) where the store manager was able to configure it for me.  So it all depends on the associate who knew about this process... It's frustrating for sure.
