AT&T Messages and PIN Code

I lost my phone and am waiting for a replacement. I am trying to view my messages online with AT&T Messages yet after I login it asks for the PIN number that was sent to my phone. If I had my phone with access to text I would not need to login online to AT&T Messages.

Is there any other way to do validation to access my texts? The current validation message works against the main reason anyone would use AT&T messages - to access messages when they DONT have their phone available.

Hi @sheriatwood!

At this time, the PIN code for initial set-up must be sent to the device itself. Like all backup services, it must be set-up prior to being able to utilize it.

To protect your privacy, we must gain authorization from the device itself to be able to store your messages. During the initial set-up on your replacement device, you will be given the option to enroll in AT&T Messages.

Thanks!

Alison
