AT&T Free Message: Your attempt to connect to data service was unsuccessful. Please try again later

Hi All,

Well it seems as though my mobile hotspot is having an issue with connection, it seems the upstream and downstream data is being pushed just fine.... however when I attempt to connect to the internet I receive a redirect page which states the following :
" AT&T Free Message: Your attempt to connect to data service was unsuccessful. Please try again later. " I also swapped out sim cards by updating the ICCID to see if that made a correction, nope!

 

Any advice would be great!

Hello, @cheapstudent,

 

We'd love to help with this. From your description, it sounds as if the mobile hotspot device is receiving a signal but the other device isn't connecting to the hotspot. Would this assessment be correct? Which devices are involved here? Please let us know.
