AT&T cluster

Paying for insurance and filed a claim as battery and camer no longer working properly.  Rec'd REPLACEMENT PHONE, which was defective with bad screen (hardly readable blue green washed out).  Three hours on the phone with Asurian and then AT&T to find that this new REPLACEMENT phone is covered under AT&T warranty.  THREE HOURS!.  Yesterday the new phone to replace the defective phone was claimed to be delivered to my home.  We were home at the time and our front door was open as we were expecting the new phone.  Nothing was delivered!.  However, FEDEX tracking claims the phone was delivered and placed at our front door..  (What, no doorbell?? ring).  Another two hours on the phone with AT&T.  Once by phone which I was disconnected while telling my story to rep ( I was showing great restraint in staying calm).  Then by chat, which after1/2 hour needed to be transferred again.  Supposed to get another phone soon.  


Moral to the story for me?  Dont get insurance. Buy the Samsung phone that sells for $100.  My insurance for the last three year was close to $400.  On top of that, to file a claim and get a replacement cost another $112.  I could buy five $100 phone for that without having to raise my blood pressure.
