AT&T branded unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 gives me the message, SIM network PIN blocked. Enter network PUK.
I have an AT&T brand Samsung Galaxy S8 unlocked that I was using with the prepaid service Straight Talk on the AT&T network. I left Straight Talk to go to another prepaid service called Visible on the Verizon network, and take my number with me. IMEI was verified compatible, but when I put the Visible SIM in, it asked for the Network unlock code. I thought this was something I created so I went thru all the passcodes I knew, and the messaged changed from "Enter network unlock code" to "SIM network PIN blocked. Enter network PUK." While researching a way to correct the problem I discovered AT&T holds the Network unlock code. I reached out to them and they gave it to me, which didn't work because the phone no longer wants a network unlock code, it wants the PUK. It's been 54 days and I haven't been able to find a person on the planet with a solution. Samsung couldn't help me and told me to go to an AT&T service center; AT&T told me to contact my service provider Straight Talk; Straight Talk said they only lock iPhones and not androids but gave me a PUK to try that was unsuccessful and said to contact Visible, Visible said they don't use PUK codes and to contact AT&T. Meanwhile these last 54 days I've been unreachable and only able to communicate thru email.

I'm not sure you understand what a network unlock code is which is not the same as a PUK code. A network unlock code removes AT&T carrier lock on a phone. A PUK lock is on the SIM card. The PUK lock locks the SIM card to a particular phone to prevent the SIM card from being removed and used in a different phone, and thereby stealing your services.
You have to enter the unlock code incorrectly 5 or 10 times depending on the brand of phone in order to permanently lock a phone.
Whatever your text problem is it has nothing to do with your phone being locked, unlocked, or using Straight Talk. It has nothing to do with the PUK code.
More likely your problem is related either to having an iPhone in the past oh, and your friends having incorrect contact information stored in their phone.. have them delete you as a contact and manually add you back with the correct 10 digit phone number.

I was following up from my 1st post when I said that I put the wrong unlock code in multiple times until it asked for the PUK. I contacted everyone under the sun for 2 months and no matter how many things we tried, I could not get the PUK to unlock. AT&T gave me a 14-digit code to to put into my keypad to bypass the screen asking for the PUK and it brought me to a screen asking for the Network Lock Control Key. I then entered the Network Lock Code that AT&T gave me and my phone did not unlock. This is when I was told that I was locked to their network, so I stop trying to go with Verizon and went back to AT&T with Straight Talk as my provider.
Unfortunately, now my current issue on the AT&T network is that I can't receive text messages from people on Verizon, but they get mine. Even after receiving my text, their responses never reach me, and that's with 5 different people. Also, I switched from iPhone to android early 2013. So far changing and programming 3 different SIMs has not helped.

You must trouble shoot with straight talk. AT&T is not your carrier.
