5G no longer working on our employee Galaxy Smartphones, but they still work on the iPhones

Yesterday everything worked fine on all the smartphones with all of our employee phones. Today none of the 5G services are working on the Galaxy Smartphones, but it works on the iPhones. They are all paid together in the same plan, so I know it isn't a missed payment or anything. It is also not an isolated incident because it effected all of the Galaxy phones. The 5G symbol still shows up and shows full bars, but doesn't work. We have this 5G so we are always available to respond to emergencies. Is this an issue happening with all Galaxy phones right now, and how to we resolve this? Our zip code is 46016 by the way.

🤦🏼‍♀️. 5g is the newest generation. It's is not a garenteed connection all the time.

If all of your phone's still have an LTE connection, the phones are working just fine. LTE should be Rock Solid no matter where you are located.

At this time only data is carried over 5G. All phone calls and text messages still use and require LTE.

This needs some clarification. Are you saying that all of your Android phones have no service at all?  Do they have LTE?

Are you saying none of your Android phones can make or receive phone calls, can't make or receive text messages, and have no data connection?

Are all the Samsung phones At&t branded?

They do have service for making phone calls and text messages, but not online access as it did before. Apps and internet services are not working without WiFi unlike they did yesterday.

No, just the data connection.

Yes all the Samsung phones are At&t branded, we ordered them directly through At&t when we switched to their data plan from Verizon last year.

If it is helpful the Galaxy phones are all Galaxy S21+ 5G and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G

The iPhones that work are all iPhone 12

Reset all network connections on the Androids.

Turn phones off, then on

If that doesn't work, call at&t

Hi shorn92! Let's address your Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G cellular data connection concern!

We appreciate all the details provided, we did go ahead and check the condition of your area towers and the nearest connected tower is in good condition. We recommend power cycling your devices to reset your device and resetting your network settings by navigating to Settings>General management>Reset>Reset network settings to refresh your connection, as formerlyknownas suggested.

For 5G access, you'll need 5G wireless coverage area which is currently unavailable in your area. Learn more about 5G network and the requirements to enjoy 5G access. Please let us know if you are able to access 5G network in other areas, as you may need to move to a 5G area.

Let us know if this is helpful! Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums!
