fraud

How can one reach a real live person on the fraud line? I called and was on hold and no one ever answered

I've been wondering the same thing.

When I spoke to a customer service rep, I was told to go to this URL:
https://att.com/fraudinquiries

I was told I would be able to file a report on that website. Afterwards, someone was supposed to call me. What actually happened was:

  1. That URL doesn't work, you get an error "page not found"
  2. I googled the att fraud form and filed the report using this URL: https://attfraud.custhelp.com/app/mobility
  3. Nobody called me.
  4. A few days later I got an email saying:

AT&T has determined that the account was not opened fraudulently. Please be assured that we have thoroughly researched this account prior to making a decision.
The only other fraud-related page I've found is this one:
    https://www.att.com/support/article/wireless/KM1212535

Edit: the FTC site found there is very helpful
    https://www.identitytheft.gov

Looks like you might get a better response on Twitter. There's a pattern, and it looks like AT&T has a bad case of employees going rogue.

I filed the fraud form. It is definitely fraud as neither of my daughters even live in my state and the lines are for phones, watches, etc in the 1000s. I acct was recognized as fraud, one was not! And when I call, I keep getting the msg to fill out the form. Will look on Twitter.
