Disrespected

I tried to post this but I like how AT&t was trying to stop it from being posted by making me change my password and re-enter the password every step along the way.

The story begins July 6th I talked to AT&t DirecTV and AT&t cellular service. I changed my internet to a higher megabytes per second. I canceled my TV service and was told I would not be charged for it that month. I talked to the cellular service and was changing my current account over to theirs as well as my two nieces. Every step of the way was messed up and I've been charged without having the service I've been text without having the phones and I've been pushed aside and treated like trash as a customer. I've called and asked and have been told I will receive a refund I will receive a refund I will get the money back They will not charge me.... Before I begin this contract I talked to eight different employees and everyone said the same exact thing I will not be charged for DirecTV.I specifically asked them and specifically told them I was asking them because I was sure that I would be charged. They assured me I wouldn't be...on July 21st the day that I asked them if I would be charged of course I was charged not only for the TV but for something they added to my account Showtime which I did not agree to in the first place which they charged me two months prior for that as well. I didn't ask for Showtime I don't watch TV I got it for my nieces for when they're here. I have no need for TV myself. After that I moved on to changing internet speeds which to this day I still don't have.... I changed from 300 megabytes per second to 1,000 megabytes per second. I'm paying for it currently do I have it??? No. They tell me to go to speed net and test it yes. Where is it at 300 megabytes per second what do you know. Did they send me equipment that I didn't need... Yes... Did I send them my equipment back Yes... am I getting phone calls asking me to send equipment back that I don't have now... Yes... During this time I also talked to the cellular AT&t. They told me there was a deal while I was canceling DirecTV. The deal was stated as If I transfer my T-Mobile phone account as well as my nieces I would be paid $250 credit for each transfer as well as be able to get a an iPhone 7 or a Samsung Galaxy A10E. I thought it was a good deal so I agreed and began a long long process of switching and giving them codes for my account and my nieces and the numbers and everything else. After several weeks I still didn't receive the phones that they told me I'd receive in 2 to 3 days.I called asking where were they and nobody could give me an answer.it took me two and a half hours to get the answer that phones are not in stock. The fact that nobody had this information or would tell me the information was ridiculous. The fact that I was told I would get them into 3 days and was not informed that changed and was about to be charged for them on the 21st of July was ridiculous. Was I charged on the 21st of July.... Yes. Did I have the phones or could use the phone service... No. I hate AT&t at this point in time. They've done nothing but mess up every single aspect of every single service they provide. I better not be charged as I took myself off auto pay... I see my next bill is the event higher but $196.... When all I have is internet and nothing else and it's not even the correct internet I was promised... If I am charged I am going to legally go after AT&t. I wish to disconnect my services. Stop charging me give me my money back and stop running me around in circles.

The original thread removed while I was responding so don't know if my post went through. So I'll try to summarize...

Try to separate some paragraphs instead of a wall of text. Want others to not have strain trying to read what you want help with.

They stopped prorating almost 2 years ago. So you don't pay for a service month that starts after you cancel, but still pay for the full service month that you are already in (even if canceling on day 1). Have to check your dates of service and see if the day you called to cancel falls within that.

Going from 300Mbps (Megabits, not bytes) to 1000Mbps/1Gbps (Gigabits) should be the jump in speed. But it is a max potential speed, not guaranteed to always be there. You could get 350Mbps and technically get what you are paying for, though I wouldn't recommend jumping a tier for that small a difference. Check on a wired connection using speedtest.net and fast.com (in addition to AT&T's own checker) for comparison. Only test on wireless for the connection to the router, as it will be less than your wired speed per nature of technology.

An out of stock issue for a phone promotion seems strange. Wonder if that was a 3rd party (Authorized/Preferred Retailer) and not AT&T itself. If AT&T (or 3rd party) cannot resolve, then a BBB/FCC complaint is the next step.

As a note, making multiple threads for the same issue is spam. So one post should remain, provided nothing inappropriate in it. The wall of text, though difficult to sort through, shouldn't count as a issue with content (unless their spam blocker improvements didn't like it for some reason).
