Direct TV/digital life bundle

My husband was sold a service that we did not use or need when we switched over from at&t verse per the company's request.  We were told they are promoting at&t digital life and that it was first it was and then we started to get billed for something that we didn't even need.  We are now getting billed $435 for a dinosaur of a system that wasn't even wanted...but yet they claim today there was never a bundling of these 2 the heck did we learn about it then and why was it installed at the same time that we switched over to DirectTV???  We now want to get a new phone as we've been a valued customer for over 10 years and have 5 lines with them but we can't because of this charge.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  I've literally been transferred around the world.  I even sent the equipment back to a P.O. Box in Atlanta, GA per their request.  I was then called to call collections and collections told me that NO the charge was "recalled" by at&t...


Please help!  We're all about to JUMP ship!
