There is something that I found it’s Ooma. You connect it to your internet and for BASIC service it’s FREE + fees and taxes. They let you check how much the fees will be in your area before you sign up. For me it’s currently $5.89 per month.

@skeeterintexas 2017 is when ATT quit offering to new customers. Existing customers still get or got service until 3G was shut down. The OP didn’t say whether they have been without service or not since then. Some existing customers have even gotten replacement LTE devices.

Ooma is not a wireless home phone it is an ATA that uses an Internet connection for service it plugs in to an Ethernet port on your modem/router. If you have high speed Internet it might serve your needs. My only experience with these type services were Magic Jack and Vonage and neither were as good as my wireless home phone
