New customer No service

I ported a wireless number to AT&T tradition landline. The port process began yesterday morning at 8am and would completed at my scheduled appointment on the same day. I use that number to run our small business and I've been without access to this number since yesterday and I'm losing my regular customer calls but no technician ever showed and after a 4 hour phone call with customer service still nothing. I feel like my personal number that I own is being held hostage because I can't get any help. Please tell me I didn't just sign up with a company that treats new customers this way. Side note on the 4 hour call the 7 representatives that I spoke with tried to sign me up with other services, internet, cellphone etc... read the room. How about you complete my first order to my satisfaction first. Also was called the day before to confirm my appointment for the next day.

We'd be happy to assist you with getting your number ported for your new home phone service, amandalamb73.

So that we can determine where to begin, please let us know if your phone service is Basic Landline or Digital Home Phone. We also need to know if your service is for a residential or business account, so that we make sure the appropriate team is assisting you.

We'll be awaiting your response!

@ATTHelp Per the OP's opening sentence quote:

I ported a wireless number to AT&T tradition landline.

@amandalamb73 If this is a traditional landline it may not have required a tech roll. Have you checked at the NID to see if you have dial tone and your number is there? If you're not sure how you can google, "testing from the phone company NID". If they sent you a modem and the phone plugs into the back of the modem than you have AT&T phone (digital service) not a traditional landline. Porting from cell to POTS is pretty unusual.

I thought porting takes 48 hours minimum
