Elderly Relatives Locked Account
My 92 year old aunt is selling her home and moving into assisted living. We are trying to transfer her landline from her home to her room at the facility. Over 20 years ago a pin number was added to her account and due to her age and dementia she can't remember the number. We can provide all identifying information and when the tech comes to the facility they can view her photo ID. However, we can't get anyone to override the pin for this change to be made. My aunt also retired from AT&T with 50 years of service. All I can get on the phone are people who can only read from a script. What do we have to do to get some help? **They never need a pin when I'm making a payment.
