On what? Do you mean phone company voicemail or a phone systems' answering machine? If answering machine what's the make and model?

Then you'll need to contact support, I know of no way to extend the recording time. Why are the callers leaving messages of more than 30 seconds or so? That's not the intent of voicemail.
