Setting up a Fax machine
I just bought an HP all in one including a Fax so if course I want to use the FAX option. In order to do so do I need to set up a land line with AT&T in order to send and receive?

Follow the set up instructions for whatever it is you're going to use, just make sure they support fax.

You'll need a landline from someone. Some VOIP service don't always play well with fax machines, but you can usually get them working by playing with the speed and other options, this is getting to be less and less of a problem with VOIP a lot less than it was at first.

VOIP, Voice over Internet Protocol. Vontage, AT&T u-verse, all cable companies, magic Jack are all examples of VOIP. And don't use any wireless home phone service.
