Porting Phone Number - Cancel All Uverse Services
I am trying to figure out if I should just cancel all of my uverse services due to the inability of ATT to port my number from Time Warner Cable. It has been since 12/19 that they have been trying to port my number but the only response I get is we need to put a new due date on the request. They even confirmed Time Warner has released by number. The worst part is I have to pay both a $160.00 bill to Time Warner and a $218.00 bill to ATT and I cannot fully use either service. What good does a temporary phone number do me when everyone knows my original phone number. Also, the first bill received from ATT tells me the fees are going up in February and I do not even have service that fully works.
I think they are just pushing me until my initial 30 days are up so I cannot back out of the contract. .
I do not think anyone knows what they are doing.

@eborgp Contact ATT Uverse Care on the link in my signature.
Send them a private message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse service number porting problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time (also around on weekends), response may take up to 2 business days.
This is not the regular CS/TS phone people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap.
Include your account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.
Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

Thank you for your help. My phone number has finally been successfully ported from TWC. So far I have not had any other issue with ATT. Now I am going to see if ATT can give me a credit to help offset the full month bill I need to pay to TWC due to me not being able to cancel any of the services until my number was ported. Not sure why TWC has the policy they cannot cancel any services until the number is ported.
The social media manager was extremely helpful and seemed to have a better idea of how to make sure everything was taken care of.

How can I do this for my landline which I'm being told after calling all over the world might have a port request to Comcast against it? I have called everyone including the retiree center and not one person can figure out what to do. I have new gray hairs on my head over this. The repair people said there was a port request but no one else can seem to find it. Now what do I do. I have had this number for 32 years.
