Phone service disconnected by mistake/can't get anyone to re-connect
About 2 weeks ago my wife asked AT&T to disconnect our DSL internet service at one of our houses and to connect the internet service at a second house that we own.
AT&T disconnected the internet service AND the phone service to the first house. So far we have not been able to get phone service back. We went to a local AT&T branch and they told us that their computer showed that we still had phone service at the first house.
We have called customer service numbers every day since then. We get different people each time and they tell us that; 1: there is no work order for this job, 2: call another number, 3: the phone service should not have been disconnected in the first place (Duh), 4: they had to disconnect the phone service because the DSL is connected to the phone number, etc.
It would be nice to be able to speak with someone at AT&T that can actually get this problem solved before we have to go to another provider.
