Multiple cordless phonesets with two bases.

I would like to set up multiple cordless phones using one base in the house and the other base in the garage.  I currently have one base in the house but the cordless phones will not reach the garage.  There is a corded phone there in the garage that uses the same phone line as the house. I would like to set up another base in the garage for my husband with caller ID and cordless phones. Will this work?

Yes one will not interfere with the other.

Do the two base phones have to operate on the same frequency or should the two bases be using two different frequencies?

Thanks for the reply.  The phones are Panasonic model KX-TGF352N, they are not AT&T phones but I think the principal of using multiple phones on the same line would be the same. I'm going to try it and see what happens.
