Long Distance not Authorized

This morning i tried to fax some documents over from my at&t landline. We pay for long distance services. I got a message staying my long distance services were not Authorized and to call 1800-645-0005. We called and with no exaggeration were passed from operator to operator for no less than 8 hours. The folks at customer service said our phone number doesn't exist (even though we Were calling from it) and kept connecting us to wireless support which it is not. They also said that at&t does not provide landline phone service in NY. Then who have I been paying?? Can someone please help.

look at your bill it will show who your paying

While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, we are here to represent the forum with our experiences as customers and do not represent AT&T in any official capacity with our responses and do so on our own time unpaid and off the clock. As employees we are not rewarded nor compensated to participate in these forums This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them.

It says AT&T for both landline and long distance.

If they can't even find you account is probably why you're having problems. Try to report it online. You can try this link there's also this one
