Getting "BAD REQUEST" whenever I try to download Voicemail from ATT Server

A little more than 2 weeks ago I was able to download all my Voicemail messages to my hard drive. Now every time I try to download Voicemail messages I get a "BAD REQUEST" answer from ATT Server.

At first I used to get the error Pop-Up messaga that "ATT IS HAVING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. TRY AGAIN LATER" whenever I tried to download the Voicemail messages to my computer.

ATT sent out 3 Service Technicians and all 3 says the line is good and the problem is with ATT. I talked with ATT Tech Support and that person said, after about 1-2 hours talking on the telephone plus talking to the ATT Service Tech, that my computer is not compatible witth ATT and nothing they can do.

The Tech Support wanted me to install a obsolete non-Windows 10 compatible Apple Quicktime app that hasn't be updated since 2016. But I installed it with the same results as before. It would launch. So I uninstalled Quicktime again.

Yet my computer was compatible a little more than 2 weeks ago where I had been able to download my Voicemail messages to my PC since I first got ATT U-verse Home phone service.

By the way, I have a hearing disability which prevents me from HEARING or UNDERSTANDING voice messages on the telephone thus the reason for me to download the Voice messages. I can use my Headphones to listen to the downloaded Voice messages from ATT.

without any problems.

Has  anyone else have issues downloading Voicemail to their computers?

@ATTHelp

Marc, @Carol2 , me and at least 2 other Customers on this thread are having the exact same error when trying to download VM Messages.

We all have different Gateways and different computers and computer configurations. The only common aspect in all of us is using ATT Servers to try and download VM messages.

I have no idea how widespread this issue is with downloading VM Messages but so far at least 4 Customers on this thread are having the same exact issues.

But I personally appreciate your efforts and trying to eliminate the Customer's computer or network as the culprit. But the evidence suggests strongly that it is a AT&T Server or Network issue.

We have been getting "bad request" for about a month. If you intend on offering this service, would you PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM? It is not just one customer, and yes Gateway has been rebooted!! Maybe an update is needed to be offered? It has been clearly stated that QuickTime does not work with the updated Microsoft Windows.

Please fix this "BAD REQUSEST" ISSUE! We are a business and we need to be able to utilize this voicemail feature of the services we PAY FOR.

I'm getting a 902 error code also when trying to access my home digital phone features. Is ATT going to fix this issue?

Well, I thought I was going to spread good news...but guess what?  Apparently I WASTED MY TIME.  Sorry elstaci, I see your post 13 days ago and I called easily 8 days ago (4/27) and got nothing on this subject.  PecanV, easily MORE THAN A MONTH that I have noticed this.  Called 800-331-0500 and spent 1 hr 15 of my time and got nothing.  The girl had me talking from her to some upper level tech.  They had me log in, log out etc...get the "bad request" on 2 pc's (win 7 and win 10), do what ever they ask, and was supposed to get an email about this subject.  Got nothing.  Maybe it is time to find someone else on the market that wants to take us seriously or everyone start calling 800-331-0500 and start complaining.

Since it's been a month I'm going to try to ask for a credit on my bill since I'm still paying for a service with usage options that aren't available to me through no fault of my own.

I'm having same problem, Culver City CA.

ATT admitted in this message that Windows 10 is not supported, only Windows 7 and 8. So they should quit wasting peoples time saying to reboot the modem and try different browsers.  https://forums.att.com/conversations/att-phone-features/getting-bad-request-whenever-i-try-to-download-voicemail-from-att-server/60782095a2ed1c099b9bf9c5?commentId=607efdf37d101772331fe969

I found a fix (works for me). ATT seems to have changed its login rules. Try logging in with your original id (e.g., [email scrubbed]). Even though all my IDs are 'valid', only the att.net one allowed me to access my home phone data.

I, too, have had the Bad Request problem for a number of weeks.  I am tired of listening to the AT&T parrots telling me to use the long deceased Quicktime app, or it must be your computer, browser, gateway, etc.  It seems the recommended solution should be to switch to Xfinity, which I am now considering.

I have an older laptop with Win 8 on it and still get the "Bad Request" message. I always use my @att login and still get the same "Bad Request" error trying that method too. It's all on AT&T's end. Things were working fine on my Win 10 laptop until a month ago and as I mentioned the error still occurs on my Win 8 one also.

It's an issue a department customers can't reach need to repair and almost all of the people we can reach when contacting  AT&T don't know what's going on in regards to it. That's why we get fed all the general troubleshooting stuff that doesn't get us anywhere.
