Assigning specific ringtone to individuals

In order to assign specific ringtones to different individuals in your household, you will have to save your contacts to your headset, then you can edit information and set specific ringtones.

For more information on how to assign the ringtones, please follow instructions below:

1. Go to contact list, then click on the view tab.
2. Click Edit
3. At the top, it will ask if Handset or Smart chip. Please choose Handset.
4. Scroll down to Ringtones, then press List.
5. Choose the Ringtone you prefer to each individual, then press Set.

You can also check on the phone manual for more information oh how to assign ringtones to individuals or specific ringtones to different groups.

I'm sorry but I can't follow your directions.  On my handset I have "Directory", which I can then "Review" but I can only see the entries for the phone numbers/contacts I've entered. I don't have a "contact list", can't find an edit button and am not given the choice mentioned in #3. 

I can look at "Ringers" but am only given the choice to assign a ringtone and adjust volume for "home phone" and "cell phone"

Bottom line if it's not in the manual it most likely can't be done. You've found the only ring tone options for your system. With that information you can't set individual ring tones. Looks to me like @ATTHelp was addressing a cell phone.
