*67 Does Not Block My Number

I call 800 numbers all day and I alway call with *67 to block the marketers from collecting my phone number.  It appears that *67 does not block your caller id from 800 services.

Is it possible to call an 800 number without them getting my caller id

This is news to me, a google search on using *67 outgoing CID blocking doesn't work on toll free numbers also it stated a lot of business numbers.  Seems it was only meant to block calls to other resident customers.  I didn't dig real deep as to the why you may be able to do further research.  All I found is that's the was ANI (automatic number identification) works.   I did find an article where you can make it work with google voice, I don't know if that means all VOiP services or not.

You don't say what service you're using.  If you have traditional phone service and the caller ID block is available there's no reason it shouldn't work.  If you have u-verse this is done by logging into your account and going through the phone portal.

Traditional land line phone service.  *67 works when I call a normal phone number.  Why when I call an 800# using *67, the 800 service is still able to see my caller id?
