Wireless base unit beeps very 30 - 40 seconds. Only way to stop it is to unplug power cord.

The cordless phone systems base unit has a message alert tone that maybe turned on, page 111 of the manual, also see page 117 manual can be found here. Turn off the answering machine to see if that's where the beep is coming from. If it still beeps turn off smart call blocker. You need to determine where the beep is coming from first and go from there.

Model # CL82407 (Edited per community guidelines). It's not the base unit for home wireless phones. Only thing I can do is unplug the power.

Looks like it was the new message thing, we've had these phones for years never knew about that feature, how it got turned must have been an accident, anyway thank you for the excellent advise.
