Using a Bluetooth handset with a AT&T CLP99483 handset

I have the AT&T  DECT 6.0 cordless telephone system, base and 3 handsets. I have my Bose wireless headset successfully connected to the base under Cell 2 and have no problems taking/receiving calls with the headset. However I want to use the headset with my other handsets not connected to the base. How do I do this...I scoured the manual and internet with no luck. When my headset is connected to the base and I try to make a call on one of the other handsets I do not have an option to choose use “Use BT headset” when I dial the number and choose “option” when the call is going through. When I choose the Cell 2 button on the handset it says to use the BT headset select “Use BT host” in offhook menu. What is the off hook menu? Any help appreciated.

Read page 16 and 19 of the manual found here it states the Bluetooth connection is through the base.  Basically your headset is acting like another handset, but with limited range.

I find no screen message that displays "use BT host" to me the host would be the base unit.  Off hook menu would simply mean the menu that's available when the phone is off hook (in use)

Thanks and I appreciate your responses - I have read that section of the manual and assumed that either only the base will allow the Bluetooth connection or not available on the handsets. That's unfortunate since it clearly limits using a headset with the base and not with the handsets in other locations of the house.

I have a VTECH, but shows the same message.  I figured out if you place a call with the base (on the "home" line), then during the call I have "Options" and one of them is "Use BT Headset".  Maybe it is the same for you?
