If it's feed by buried/underground drop than yes, even though it's really AT&T's equipment, but you'd wait forever to get them to remove it. If it's an aerial drop and you're going to leave it attached to the house same answer. If it's an aerial drop and you're going to take that down too and the drop crosses a road or alley to the pole, than you could be liable for any damage or injuries caused by the line. Even if the line doesn't cross an alley or road tie it off good to the pole and high enough kids can't reach it.
