Open AT&T Utility Box

Hello,

This morning I found an open utility box in my backyard.  There is an existing easement pertaining to the box, but I was not aware of anyone servicing it.  The box was wide open with all the wires hanging out and the fastener lying next to box.  A few years ago this box was serviced incorrectly and several homes lost service, with the impending storm the box could experience significant damage and half the neighborhood could go down.  I'm concerned whether this was poor work on the technician's side or whether someone else was tampering with the box.  Tried to contact customer service to let them know, but got the run around for 40 minutes.  Just trying to help out.

Thanks,

J

On the right side of this page is a link call Report Line or Pole issues, with-in that is a number for reporting buried wire, that's the place to start.  It can't be done on the forum as we are customers just like you.

First what's not true you're tagging onto an existing thread, the 2020 number provide is 24/7

Phone wires in a terminal don't "buzz".  Are you sure these are phone wires you're looking at?  Did you try the buried wire line number in the link provided?
