OLD TELEPHONE POLE IN MEDINA NY
I recently bought a house in Medina NY, there is an old utility pole 2 feet from the house. There are no wires or cables connected to it, it is just the pole. I looked for an identifying tag but there is none. I now have a problem with squirrels using the pole to get onto my house. WHO DO I CONTACT TO HAVE THE POLE REMOVED???

The state of New York is not serviced by AT&T wireline. You'll have to contact the local phone company that serves your area, if the pole belongs to them.

New York, part of the NYNEX, one of the (7) baby bells from the MA BELL breakup in the early 1980s.
NYNEX was merged into Bell Atlantic, another Baby Bell, in 1997.
Then around 2000 the combination was merged with GTE to create Verizon.
Therefore if you believe the pole in question with no wiring attached belongs to a phone company would recommend reaching out to Verizon.
If you’re in a more rural area, your region may have been sold off, likely in the 90s to either FairPoint or Frontier. Another company that has bought bell territories is CenturyLink, but that has been more in the Midwest and southern states that I am aware of.

shows Verizon as the telco ILEC for the area.
