Home phone upgrade to 4G not working, Calls not allowed on this line message
I followed the instructions, unplug and remove battery then wait 10-15 minutes (actually 30-45 minutes) Install battery into new device plug into outlet and press On button and wait for signal lights. Plug in phone. I have a dial tone. Make test call. Get prerecorded message telling me this call is not allowed on this line dial 611 or an 800 number for help. Dial 611 and get the same message. Called my home phone from my cell phone. My home phone did not ring and I was given the message that the mail box has not been set up. My home phone is an AT&T Model number EL52303.

It doesn't sound like it's been activated. See if this link helps if not you'll probably need to work with tech support.

When you say home phone upgrade are you talking about a wireless home phone and is the model number IFWA-40?

Ok, I went to the link you provided and clicked on one of the sim links, it asked for my phone number and zip code. Then it came up with the correct information for the base station and the sim card. I confirmed that the information was correct. This worked and the phone is now working, but I have to wonder why the instructions do not include this step? I certainly appreciate your help with this issue. Thank you.

Glad it was an easy fix. Don't know why they don't supply the activation information with the unit, seems like that would be a no brainer.

@evil_skippy Approximately what date did you obtain your IFWA-40?
AT&T notified me they stopped supplying this product on 12/7/2021 so they are refusing to upgrade my 3G wireless home phone and allow service continuity. Please advise whether yours was ordered before or after Dec 7.

I am in the same sinking boat as evil_skippy: I was sent the same model on Feb 28, 2022 and after is set it up I got the same message that the IFWA-40 won't work.

I followed the link you listed, entered my number, zip and SIM information and once I clicked on continue, that's when I got the message stating that the IFWA-40 model will not work.
