Home landline down

7/25 I noted that my phone had no dual tone. Tried online to file repair but that’s a joke. Called them. Told ATT when I cell phone called my home I get a recording that their service has broken down in an office. Personnel confirm they have a problem. Now it >48hrs since discovered and still not working. In the mean time I get a text that a  repair technician will be here on 7/30 to check it out. If the problem in at their facility why are they coming to my house?

This is a user forum, not AT&T support, we'd have no idea why a home visit was scheduled in your case.  Did you test from the NID and determine it was bad there?

ATT fixed THEIR  problem at THEIR transmission system. Never needed to come  to my house. Phone just rang Thursday afternoon after being down for 5days.
