ep5962

I just purchased an ATT TL86009 to replace an old cordless from my ATT ep5962 two line base. The only instructions I can find indicate to press the hold button on the base to register a new handset, but there is no hold button on the base,  unless you open a line, then the menu button displays as hold button.

The base instructions  say to enter the base id into the handset, but handset only say press hold on the base, anyone know how to do this?

We're here to help address your equipment concerns, @ibmikey.

Based on the information provided, the reason your TL86009 isn't pairing is because the device isn't compatible with your EP5962. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and we encourage you to check around for other devices that may be compatible with your base device.

We hope the information helps, and please don't hesitate to reach back out should you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks for reaching out on the AT&T Community Forums!

Thanks, I thought something such as  search for phone on the base was needed to pair the base to new phone.

We're happy to help clear things up, @ibmikey!

The TL86009 handset that you have requires a TL86109 to operate. If you'd like to purchase a TL86109, you can do so in our online store

Please feel free to reach back out if you need help in the future. Thanks again for contacting the AT&T Community Forums!
