Create ticket to remove AT&T overhead drop wires (POTS and fiber)

Hi,

I have two AT&T drop wires/lines running from utility poles to my house. One is an old POTS line that hasn't been used in 15+ years. The other is a fiber line, which I'm currently on hold with AT&T to cancel. I'd like to have both removed. Is there an option to create this type of service/trouble ticket with AT&T online rather than calling another number and waiting on hold?

When I called the number above provided by @ATTHelp , they told me that it was the wrong number for buried wire center. They gave me 800-924-9420 as the correct number for the buried wire center. When I called that, they transferred me to the repair department who was able to quickly create a service request for a technician to come to my house to remove the POTS and fiber cables that are above ground. The representative was very friendly and helpful.

The technician is supposed to call in advance. 🤞

After getting the wrong number in the reply above, I wondered if I was also going to be sent to the wrong department given that my question is about aerial wires, not buried wires. Oddly enough the "buried wire center" handles the above ground wires that run from pole-to-house. @ATTHelpFeedback

Please call our buried wired center as they'll be of assistance to you for the wires to be removed. We request you to call 800.288.2020 and say "No account. When they ask if you want to order a new service, say "No". Then let us know about the cable you'd like removed.
