Connecting 2 bases for intercom

For years we've used AT&T phones. We had 2 bases and 2 handsets, all connected for intercom. One based died so we decided to replace everything so we could upgrade headsets to cordless instead of wired. I purchased 2 of system CL84102, so received 2 bases and 2 handsets. 

I can see how to connect the headset and handsets to one system, but not the bases. 2 staff members have preference to use the base type telephone rather than handsets or headsets, but both need to be able to connect for intercom and call transfer.

Customer service is closed today. Thanks in advance for any assistance on setting up the bases so they can use intercom to each other.

Each base unit is unique as is the handsets that work with the base, you can't make the two systems work together. Personally I'd take those two back and do some searching on the Internet to find a system that fits your needs.
