Cancel Land line

I have tried to reach AT&T to cancel my service since I have been paying for 8 months but have not had any service. I am paying almost $40/ month for a service I am not receiving. The chatbot is frustrating to say the least and I was on hold for 2 hours and gave up. How can I cancel via email?

You can not cancel via email or chat. You must call to cancel.

To cancel service you need to call customer service and at the voice prompt say cancel service. If you don't go through the retentions/loyalty group you can't cancel.
