Call Drops - AT&T CL82401 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone
We have had an ongoing problem with dropped calls when using our land line AT&T CL82401 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phones.
Often but not always when we call out on the phones, we can get about 20-45 seconds before the call drops. Very annoying to us and to the people we are calling, but we have put up with it and just switched to the cell to continue the conversations. Typically it has been that way one day, but not the next...thoughts?
It is back and much more frequent...is it simply because the phone are 4 years old? The base is not near any other electronics. It is perplxng and I don't relish the idea of having to buy a new landline set every few years. I miss the durability of the old landline phones.
Bottom line: Any other possible reasons it may be dropping calls?

If this is a traditional landline check it from the NID with a known working corded phone and if it still does it report it to the phone company. Or if you want to see if it's the phone doing it, which I doubt, put a different phone on it and use it for awhile to see if it does the same thing. My guess is this is a phone company problem, you can further analyze this by paying attention to the weather when it does it more often, is the wind blowing, is it raining, etc.
