ATT cordless phones
I have two ATT cordless phones. i have changed and charged the new batteries for both. when i raise the receiver i have a dial tone. when i try to make an outgoing call the dial tone never breaks and the call does not go through. I am also unable to answer calls on these cordless phones. suggestions?

What service? Digital or traditional landline? If digital, try resetting the modem if traditional test from the NID with a known good corded phone. If still bad at the NID report to your phone carrier. Also check you settings and make sure the phones have been changed from tone to dial pulse
