Why can’t I make calls?

Yesterday I had very poor/no service I thought due to weather/towers/whatever. Came back over in the afternoon. Today I only have internet access and no phone service even though it shows 4 bars. Help.

Hello @caroline, we are here to help you with your phone calls.


Try these tips to help get your phone working again: 

  • Make sure your software’s up to date.
  • Confirm you have wireless service. Check our network coverage map.
  • Turn off Call Forwarding . ~ Press #21# on your phone and then the CallSendTalk, or Receiver key.
  • Check that you aren't blocking calls. 
  • Check your account to make sure your service isn't suspended. If it is, you'll need to pay the full past due to restore service

Try our AT&T Troubleshoot & Resolve, select your device from the list, and then choose Phone Calls under Service/network issues.
