Temporarily suspend service

I am abroad and unable to access my account because I cannot receive texts here at my US number. It seems to me you guys should have another way to validate my identity. I would like to suspend my service until I am back in the US March 24. Please help me! This should not be so difficult. I have been a loyal customer for a long time.
