Removing unused AT&T phone line?

We don't have a home phone service, only AT&T Fiber. However, we've noticed that there is an existing phone line connected from the pole to our house. Anyone remove this before?

Let's get that line removed for you, @NatwanTilembar!

Let's move this conversation into a direct message, this way we can email the appropriate team with you request. Be on the lookout for a chat notification in the upper right-hand portion of the page, next to the bell icon.

While we send you that, please gather the following as it will be needed:

  • Full name
  • Contact Number
  • Address where phone line is

We look forward to speaking with you!

Call 800-288-2020 to report a low hanging wire.

When the tech arrives for your scheduled 4 hour appointment window, explain your concern to the tech who will remove the existing copper drop.

Please note as your a fiber customer the tech will need to perform an inspection of your installation which requires (5) tests… 2 of the tests requires accessing the home (you or someone 18 or older) has to be there during the appointment.

If your not home the tech will likely not remove the drop wire as cannot complete or close the job without accessing the home.

If your not a fiber customer, follow the same procedure as listed above for a tech dispatch.
