Long Distance Access Code For Area Code 609
I am dialing State of New Jersey, Division of Taxation, 609-943-5000. I receive recorded message stating that I need a Long Distance Access Code. I dial 1-609 and I receive same recorded message. What Code do I need?

Does your phone service include long distance calling? If it does try another number in the same area code and exchange to see if it also fails, if it does report it to your provider.
