landline cordless phone cannot answer or place calls

with a cordless phone system it doesn't matter if you have one or 10 handsets they're all controlled by the same base unit. You don't mention which service you're using, if this is U-verse digital service try resetting the modem, sounds like that might be what you have.

I am having the same problem with a single hand unit CL 80103. The unit rings but I am unable to answer the call or place new calls. The other two hand units are working. The one that is not working is newer than the ones that are working. Our provider is Cox and this is a VOIP line with the base connected directly to the router.

How about opening your own topic and let us know if the new handset ever worked. My guess would be no.

The newer handset worked for a few years and just started the having this issue the recently. It was plugged into a surge protector And I thought this was the same issue that irvinepark2003 was having.
