Credit for out of service

Land line was out of service for 4 1/2 days.  How do I get a credit?

This lack of respose seems typical for ATT.

My land line was on/off for over 15 days in total over the past month.

I sure don't know why I'm paying for a service that has been unuseable.

If we pay for the service it should be availble as required.

Lack of sevice should be compensated.

Perhaps they are so keen on the mobile business, they are just letting the land line customers go the way of Dodo, while still inching the monthly bill up as though we wouldn't notice.

Hmmph! :(

Land lines were the bread and butter!

All my friends are urging me to change providers, even if I still wish to retain a land line.

Not sure what you mean by “typical response” since you posted on a 2 year old thread. In any event, credits for service outages are not automatic, you must call. Hopefully you realize even if you change providers, ATT still owns and maintains the wires. If your service issues are due to infrastructure problems, which most landline issues are, switching providers won’t change that and ATT may take even longer to repair. There is no secret that the landline business is a dying business.
