Closed account

Hi, I closed my account in August 2020, (landline)  only to be billed for August, September and October.  Contacted AT&T Customer service and A&T Billing "6 times" only to get bounced around on 5 of those calls.  On the 6th one,  AT&T customer service, the rep made sure the account WAS closed and that I would only be billed for 1 month, she would send a paper bill because I cannot pay the bill online..  This morning October 24th, I got another bill in my email account that AGAIN I can't pay.  Its only about $14 but I'm frustrated.

Be advised this is the 3rd posting for this account.  Help!

Hey, @haborst. We'd be glad to help you look into these extra months you've been billed!

Is your landline service plain old telephone service or is it Digital Phone (VoIP)?

We look forward to your response!

Hi its plain old landline this i1 for over 20 years.  Per the billing rep I would get  a paper copy in the mail for September 2020 only.  Didnt get it in the mail email only last week and this morning I get in email:

"Dear AT&T Online Customer,

Your AT&T Online Bill dated September 28, 2020 is now past due. Please review your charges and authorize your payment to ensure timely credit to your account. If you have already made your payment, please disregard this notice."

@haborst.

Unfortunately we are unable to assist plain old telephone service customers with billing matters. You may want to try going into an AT&T store to get this taken care of, otherwise you can contact AT&T at 800-288-2020.

Let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with, thanks for choosing AT&T.

I have stated this is an old  landline at least 5 times in text, several more times on phone.

I called 800-288-2020 more than 3 times

Really bites when a lousy $14 bill can ding my awesome credit rating because AT&T can't send 1 crummy paper bill. Filing a complaint.

As stated in your previous topic, we as users have no access to your account and can't resolve your issue it was also suggested you could file a complaint and who to file with.  I don't know if this link will help or not since your account has been closed, but it might be worth a try.   It's from this topic and at the bottom of the topic is a phone number that the user says is the number for POTS lines, I didn't try it.

This is a user to user help forum. It is not an AT&T support site. I am not an AT&T employee, read the ACE's disclaimer at the bottom of this post
