What and is and of what value is currently.com?
with over 40 years of software usage the change in ATT mail has me baffled, Would love to see your user testing plan. My 92 year old mother is having trouble following . Especially as the communications look and read as spoof and she is instructed to delete such. Postal communication would be more productive

We're here to address your security concerns, rlconnon.
Please rest assured that any communication telling you to use Currently.com from us is most likely legitimate. As it stands, Currently is our officially supported webmail service, and it's what we recommend our customers use when signing in to their email. The benefit to using it is that, since it's our supported webmail service, you'll be able to experience any new features we offer as soon as they're released!
This of course isn't a requirement, and you're free to continue using whichever email app you prefer if you're using one (such as Outlook or Windows mail), however you can rest assured knowing that Currently is by no means a scam site.
We hope the information helps, and please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any additional questions or concerns you'd like us to address for you. We'll be more than happy to help however possible!
Thanks for reaching out on the AT&T Community Forums!

We're happy to clarify this for you, rlconnon.
There are two main differences between Currently and Outlook. The first is that Currently is a website that allows you to view your email online, hence the term 'webmail' (email via website) while Outlook is an actual email application that you download onto your device to view your email.
The second difference is that Currently is supported by AT&T directly, as it's our website, while Outlook is a 3rd party software that isn't developed by us. What that means is that, while you are able to use Outlook for your email, the scope of support we can provide for it may be a bit more limited since we don't own the application.
We hope that helps clarify the differences for you. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns, and thanks again for reaching out on the AT&T Community Forums!
