Slow setup time for AutoPay

I selected ATT as my internet provider by phone. While on the phone the agent set me up for AutoPay on 11-3. To my surprise I saw an email from ATT stating that I had a balance due on my account. Thinking the email was a mistake I called the 800 number. The agent confirmed that I was set up for AutoPay, but that it can take 40 to 60 days for it to be in place. I have a mobile bank account and if I set up an AutoPay with my bank it is almost instantaneous. But with ATT it can take up to 60 days? It sounds like ATT has a problem. It seems like you have people manually setting up the AutoPay instead of an automated program that does it in the same way that my bank does. Not impressed.
